About This Project

When these homeowners purchased this home in Atlanta they inherited a white on white kitchen with peeling cabinets. They wanted to remodel the kitchen immediately to bring it up to date with new appliances, improved functionality and a more aesthetically please appearance.

The kitchen space was adequate but underutilized. We incorporated lots of storage features including pullout trashcan, drawers for pots and pans under the cooktop and rollout shelves inside the base cabinets.

We modified the pantry opening and replaced the door with matching cabinet doors to disguise it. Outside the pantry, a small buffet with glass fronted wall cabinets act as a server for the adjacent dining room.

We used cherry cabinets from Schrock with a dark chocolate finish in a Craftsman style for a simple, yet elegant look and topped them with Santa Cecilia granite.

A striking feature that the homeowners really love is the new table extension for everyday meals. This table fills wasted space and connects the family room and completes the kitchen. A wine storage unit is tucked away beneath it.
